This Privacy Policy explains how Kiku Home collects, uses, discloses, and retains personal information when people visit kikuhome.com, create an account, place or receive an order, communicate with us, submit content, or exercise a right.

Notice at Collection

At or before collection, Kiku Home provides this notice that it may collect the categories described in Section 2 below—identifiers and contact details; account and authentication data; commercial and transaction data; payment-related data; internet, device, and activity data; communications and user content; inferences and preferences; and limited information treated as sensitive by law. We collect, use, and disclose those categories for the retail, fulfillment, payment, security, support, warranty, safety, legal, measurement, preference, and permitted marketing purposes described in Sections 3–7.

Retention follows the criteria in Section 8 rather than one period for every record. Kiku Home does not sell personal information for money. Some laws may treat certain analytics or advertising-technology disclosures as a sale, sharing, or targeted advertising; use Privacy Choices to exercise an applicable opt-out or limitation right. Do not provide personal information through a field unless you accept the disclosed purpose or have another lawful basis to provide it.

1. Scope and controller

Kiku Home is the trade name, merchant of record, and business responsible for the personal information covered by this policy. This policy covers the Kiku Home website and direct customer relationship. A manufacturer, payment provider, carrier, or linked unaffiliated site may separately process information under its own notice.

Kiku Home currently operates a U.S.-only storefront and does not offer international checkout. Mere access from another country is not an offer to sell or a representation that the site is directed there.

2. Personal information we collect

We do not intentionally collect Social Security numbers, government identification, biometric templates, or precise geolocation for ordinary retail checkout. We do not intend to infer a person’s medical condition from product browsing or purchases. If a customer voluntarily reveals health or accessibility information to request assistance, we use it only as reasonably necessary for that request, safety, legal compliance, or another purpose authorized by the customer or law.

3. Sources

We collect information:

• directly from customers, gift purchasers or recipients, account users, reviewers, and people who contact us;
• automatically from browsers and devices through server logs, cookies, local storage, and measurement tools;
• from payment, fraud-prevention, identity-verification, ecommerce, hosting, and customer-service providers;
• from suppliers, warehouses, manufacturers, and carriers concerning inventory, fulfillment, delivery, claims, returns, recalls, and warranty service;
• from marketing or referral sources when a person follows a campaign or referral link; and
• from public authorities, professional advisers, and publicly available sources when reasonably needed for legal, safety, fraud, or rights-protection purposes.

4. Purposes

Kiku Home uses personal information to:

• operate the site, cart, checkout, accounts, accessibility features, and customer service;
• authenticate users and remember selections;
• price, accept, verify, process, fulfill, track, deliver, cancel, return, exchange, refund, and support orders;
• coordinate suppliers, warehouses, manufacturers, installers when purchased, and carriers;
• provide warranty service, safety notices, recalls, and incident response;
• prevent fraud, chargeback abuse, security incidents, prohibited transactions, and misuse;
• debug, measure, secure, maintain, and improve products, content, services, and the customer journey;
• personalize on-site content and remember preferences;
• send transactional communications and, with the required permission, marketing;
• administer reviews, promotions, and surveys without conditioning an incentive on positive sentiment;
• keep accounting, tax, warranty, consent, safety, compliance, and dispute records; and
• comply with law, enforce agreements, and protect customers, Kiku Home, and others.

If applicable law requires consent for a materially different use, Kiku Home will request it before that use. A privacy notice by itself is not treated as consent where affirmative consent is legally required.

5. Disclosures and recipient categories

We disclose information in proportion to the service or legal need to:

• commerce and technology providers for hosting, content delivery, ecommerce, account, database, security, backups, and technical support;
• payment and fraud providers for authorization, settlement, refund, identity and transaction verification, and risk review;
• suppliers, warehouses, manufacturers, and service providers for inventory, fulfillment, returns, parts, repairs, warranties, recalls, and product-safety matters;
• USPS, UPS, FedEx, freight carriers, and logistics providers for rating, labels, routing, delivery, tracking, appointment, address correction, loss, and damage claims;
• analytics and communications providers for site measurement, transactional email, permitted marketing, and support. Kiku Home currently configures Google Analytics 4 without Google advertising signals or ad-personalization signals;
• professional advisers and authorities for accounting, insurance, audit, legal advice, court orders, lawful requests, safety reporting, and protection of rights; and
• a transactional successor in a genuine merger, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, acquisition, or sale, subject to applicable notice and protection.

We may disclose aggregated or deidentified information that is not reasonably linkable to an individual and maintain it in that form. We do not publicly post order or support information unless the customer intentionally submits public content.

6. Sale, sharing, and targeted advertising

Kiku Home does not sell personal information for money. Certain state laws define “sale,” “sharing,” or “targeted advertising” broadly enough to include some disclosures of cookie, device, or activity information to analytics or advertising technology providers. Kiku Home treats a legally qualifying request through Privacy Choices or a recognized browser opt-out signal as an opt-out for the applicable activity.

Kiku Home does not knowingly sell or share for cross-context behavioral advertising the personal information of a person known to be under 16 without the affirmative authorization required by law. We do not use sensitive personal information to infer characteristics or for a purpose that triggers a limitation right without providing the legally required choice.

7. Cookies and similar technologies

Cookies, local storage, tags, and comparable technologies support security, cart, checkout, accounts, preferences, performance, and measurement. Our Cookie Policy describes the current categories. A browser can remove or block cookies, although blocking necessary storage may prevent core store functions.

Global Privacy Control and other legally recognized universal opt-out signals are handled as described in Privacy Choices. A general “Do Not Track” signal does not have one uniform legal meaning; Kiku Home does not treat an unsupported signal as a substitute for a specific legal opt-out.

8. Retention

Retention depends on the information, purpose, relationship, product life cycle, and law. Kiku Home keeps:

• order, payment-status, tax, accounting, shipment, and refund records for legally required and reasonably necessary business periods;
• account data while the account is active and afterward when needed for transaction history, security, fraud prevention, suppression of deleted data, or legal obligations;
• support, return, warranty, product-safety, and dispute records for the matter and a reasonable period afterward;
• consent, opt-out, request, and policy-version records for compliance and preference enforcement; and
• logs, cookie identifiers, and analytics information for configured periods appropriate to security, troubleshooting, and measurement.

When information is no longer reasonably needed, we delete, deidentify, or securely dispose of it, subject to backups, legal holds, fraud controls, and technical limitations. These retention criteria are reviewed as systems, products, relationships, and legal requirements change.

9. Security

Kiku Home uses administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the nature and volume of information, including transport encryption, access controls, updates, backups, service-provider review, fraud controls, and incident procedures. No online system is completely secure. Do not send full payment credentials or unnecessary sensitive data through ordinary support channels.

10. Privacy rights

Depending on residence and legal applicability, a consumer may have rights to:

• confirm processing and access personal information;
• correct inaccuracies;
• delete information, subject to lawful exceptions;
• obtain a portable copy of eligible information;
• know categories, sources, purposes, disclosures, and specific information;
• opt out of sale, sharing, targeted advertising, or certain significant profiling;
• limit certain uses or disclosures of sensitive personal information;
• withdraw consent where processing depends on consent;
• appeal a denied request where applicable; and
• receive equal service and pricing without unlawful discrimination for exercising a right.

Use Privacy Choices for methods, verification, authorized agents, appeals, and marketing controls. We ordinarily respond within 45 days when a state privacy law establishes that period and may use a legally permitted extension after notice. We may deny or limit a request when identity cannot be verified, an exception applies, or fulfillment would adversely affect another person’s rights, and will explain the decision when required.

11. State disclosures

California

Subject to legal applicability, California residents may exercise rights to know/access, delete, correct, opt out of sale or sharing, and limit certain sensitive-information uses, and may use an authorized agent. The categories in Section 2, sources in Section 3, purposes in Section 4, and recipients in Section 5 also describe Kiku Home’s practices during the preceding 12 months. Kiku Home does not use the exercise of a CCPA right to deny goods, charge a different price, or provide a different level of service except as lawfully related to the value of data in a properly disclosed program.

Kiku Home does not currently describe an ordinary discount as a financial incentive for personal information. If a loyalty, referral, or incentive program implicates California’s financial-incentive rules, separate material terms and any required opt-in notice will be provided before enrollment.

Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, Texas, and other states

Where the applicable law covers Kiku Home and the consumer, Kiku Home provides the access, correction, deletion, portability, opt-out, sensitive-data, authorized-agent, appeal, and non-discrimination rights required in that state. Kiku Home uses a harmonized request process but does not represent that every listed law applies to every person or transaction.

Consumer health information

Kiku Home does not operate the storefront to diagnose, infer, or sell a person’s health condition. If product activity or a support message qualifies as consumer health data under an applicable state law, Kiku Home will collect, share, sell, or retain it only as permitted, including obtaining separate consent or authorization when required. Kiku Home does not use geofencing around health-care facilities to identify or target consumers.

12. Children and teens

The store and account features are intended for adults and are not directed to children under 13. Kiku Home does not knowingly collect personal information online from a child under 13 without verifiable parental consent. If we learn that such information was collected without authorization, we will take appropriate deletion or compliance steps. A parent or guardian may contact Kiku Home about a child’s information.

13. Marketing choices

Email marketing includes an unsubscribe method. Lawful opt-out requests are honored within the required period, although transactional messages about an order, account, security, recall, warranty, or legal notice may continue. Marketing text messages, if offered, require the consent stated at enrollment and may be stopped using the stated keyword or another reasonable method. Marketing consent is not a condition of purchase.

14. Changes

We may update this policy prospectively to reflect systems, vendors, products, law, or business practices. The effective date appears above. We will provide additional notice or obtain consent for a material change when required. Previous versions and consent records are retained when reasonably needed to determine which terms applied.
