An insulated steel French press for brewing and serving a shared pot.
The Columbia is useful when you prefer a steel brewing vessel and insulation in the same pot. Its double-wall body helps keep coffee warm while you serve it, and the one-liter capacity suits a shared batch. The plunger combines mesh filtration with a silicone edge. The polished exterior is the defining finish of this 1308-16 model.
It still uses a manual French-press routine: add coarse coffee and hot water, leave one inch of headroom and steep for at least four minutes. Lower the plunger with light pressure, then turn the lid to open the pouring spout. Insulation does not make this a kettle; Bodum excludes stovetop use. Dismantle the filter for cleaning.
