The Milk Café prepares frothed milk separately from a coffee machine. Choose a disc and temperature, or use Cold Stir when you want mixing without extra heat.
The Milk Café is useful when the coffee maker handles brewing but leaves milk preparation to you. A disc turns inside the stainless-steel jug while induction heats the milk, and the machine stops at the selected temperature. Choose the latte or cappuccino disc for the kind of foam you want, then pour from the removable jug. The lid's measuring cap also provides a route for adding suitable drink ingredients, making the appliance useful beyond topping a single espresso.
Capacity needs a little care: the jug's total volume is larger than its recommended frothing fill. Breville specifies a 500 ml CAPP/LATTE maximum so the milk has room to expand, and the minimum marking matters too. Cold Stir adds no heat, making it useful for already cold drinks, but foam depends on the milk or alternative you use. This is a milk-drink appliance, so it should not be treated as a small cooker or a substitute for whipping cream and eggs.
Frothing happens in its own jug, independently of the coffee machine.
The removable jug makes washing and pouring more straightforward.
