Product description

The Mizudashi is a practical match for people who can prepare tomorrow’s coffee the night before. Its removable strainer holds the grounds inside the glass pot while cold water extracts them in the refrigerator. After the suggested eight-hour steep, taking the strainer out separates the finished coffee from the grounds. The black 1000 ml model provides a larger batch without adding an electric appliance to the counter.

The volume needs a little interpretation when following a recipe. HARIO’s larger-pot instructions start with 80 g of medium-fine coffee and about 1150 ml of water, producing roughly 1000 ml once the grounds have absorbed some liquid. Use that as a starting recipe and adjust to taste. Measure the 294 mm height against your refrigerator shelf before buying, and leave room to lift the pot out without catching the handle or lid.
