A ridged cast iron grill pan for stovetop steaks, burgers and vegetables, with black satin enamel, a helper handle and pouring spouts on both sides.
Arrange food across the ridges for a stovetop grilling session. The square format offers a useful layout for strips of vegetables or several smaller pieces of meat, while the grooves collect liquid below the raised surface. Leave space between portions and cook in batches when the food would otherwise crowd the pan.
The long handle and opposite helper give two holding points when moving the pan. Check the full length before choosing a cupboard or oven position, and protect your hands around hot cookware. The black cooking surface is enamel, which develops a patina with use; it needs a different care approach from bare cast iron that must be seasoned.
Use a ridged surface when an outdoor session is impractical.
The helper handle provides a second holding point.
