Four small enameled cast iron braisers for individual dishes and table presentation, each holding 0.3 quart in a matte black Licorice finish.
Portion a small side, dessert or tasting dish into each braiser for a coordinated presentation. The shallow interior makes the food accessible at the table, while the compact capacity encourages careful portion planning. These are miniature vessels: compare the five-inch interior with the food you intend to serve instead of treating them as full-size casserole pans.
The matte enamel surrounds the cast iron, so the pieces do not need the oil-seasoning routine of bare iron cookware. Their stackable form can simplify storing four matching dishes between meals.
