Choose the skillet for recipes that need sidewalls, the griddle for a flat working surface and the grill pan when you want raised ridges beneath the food. This variety can be useful when breakfasts, quick dinners and griddle recipes all share your weekly menu. Check which shapes you already own before adding the full set.
The six-piece count includes the three accessories; it does not mean six pans. Keep the handle holder nearby for moving cookware, then remove it before cooking or oven use. Wash, dry and oil the iron after use, and clean the accessories according to their own instructions. Plan storage for all three pans rather than expecting one nested pot stack.
