Product description
For owners of a compatible Vitamix Ascent or Venturist motor base, the 067591 adds food-processing tools that use the base already in the kitchen. The distinction between the two bases matters: the SELF-DETECT attachment base supplied here is part of the accessory, not the motor unit. If you do not have a compatible motor base, you will need one separately.
The 12-cup name describes the maximum dry capacity, not the limit for every batch. Wet contents have an 8-cup maximum, so plan those batches around the lower limit and follow the work bowl’s fill lines. For slicing and shredding, the package includes two reversible discs; feed ingredients with the supplied food pushers, not a blender tamper.
Why choose this model
Build on a compatible Vitamix setup
If you already own a compatible Ascent or Venturist motor base, this attachment lets you use it for food processing without needing a second motor base.
Dishwasher cleanup for processing parts
The bowl, lid, blade and discs can go in the dishwasher instead of being washed by hand. The attachment base remains wipe-clean only.
